We put our expertise in microbial and human biobanking, including specimen processing and characterization, to the service of the scientific community. We deliver both standardized and tailored services to our clients - diagnostic laboratories, academic institutions, other non-profit organizations - from around the world.
Several biobanking services are offered for microbial and human bioresources.
Deposit of strains at CIP is free of charge. Carefully selected collections of Institut Pasteur can be stored in the CRBIP facilities free of charge. Storage of collections of Instut Pasteur's partners can be offered for a fee.
We offer standardized processing with validated methods, for production of simple or complex (cellular or molecular) derivatives. Application of project-specific, customized protocols is also possible, however such protocols are not validated.
We offer standardized characterization and quality control assays for all deposited strains and all human specimens that are received. Project-specific, customized characterization or quality control assays are also provided.
We offer standardized genomic analyses for strain identification and taxonomy. Project-specific and customized genomic analyses can also be provided.
We work closely with the Institut Pasteur Clinical Investigation unit to provide access to prospectively collected human specimens, according to project specifications. Contact demandeRBH@pasteur.fr
